IT BUZZ AROUND By Miguel Caducio… (Continuation from January 2011 Issue about New Year’s resolution to clean your computer.)

Step 2: Outside the case

Run a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol around all of the openings on the outside of your case. Give them one swipe with the damp end of the swab and one swipe with the dry end. Do these as often as you clean the inside of your computer.

IT BUZZ AROUND By Miguel CaducioNew Year, new resolution and a new plan…. We can add this as one of our resolutions especially to those people who rely on computer as part of their everyday work.  Clean your PC.

In my job as a Technical Support, I always encounter this trouble from people who bring their computer to me and found out that the problem is always power supply or a motherboard (hardware) issue. I also advise them that only if they can spend a small time to clean their computer, their PCs should be working fine for few more years. Especially today that buying parts and fix the old computer is more expensive than buying a new one.

BPO jobs to reach 1M in 2010

IT BUZZ AROUND By Miguel CaducioNo sunrise industry is more associated with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo than business process outsourcing (BPO). Although BPOs started in the country in the 1990s, the industry really took off only after Mrs. Arroyo assumed power. From 4,000 in 2001, the number of BPO workers reached 350,000 in 2007, spurred on in part by the country's stable economic environment and by aggressive marketing abroad by the President. There were 400,000 workers as of February 2009. It is estimated that by 2010, available jobs will be 900,000 despite the ongoing global economic slowdown.
